So this is one of my few (recently at least) actually bloggy this-is-what-I’ve-been-doing kinda posts. It’s SOOOO big I put after the break.
Do people like that? Or does it bother you that you have to click another time?

So, I’m feeling somewhat angsty and may even delete this later- but hey what are blogs for if not for venting?
I’m becoming increasingly aware of a ‘too-busy’ mentality within my little social circle.
Perhaps I need a different social circle.
I’m increasingly finding I’m neglected from invitations to events – often apparently ostracised for my choice in transport of all things – hey, atleast it’s a decent excuse.
Others have commitments like wives and (increasingly) kids and stuff – some just don’t like sitting around a barbie eating good meat, drinking beer and listening to Gold.
My position was even been usurped in the world of RPGs last year – and it wasn’t as if I didn’t try to be involved. I played frequently, ran a teamspeak server, bought and hosted domain names - yet I felt I was still the N00b.
Bah. I’m an only child and thoroughly enjoy my own company. I Enjoy my blogging and my gaming and my downloading and tv-epsidode watching and guitar hero and so on – but the apathy is perhaps what I’m becoming more sensitive to.

Urgh. I’m starting to really hate the free to air networks.
It’s not bad enough that most of them are too arrogant to even broadcast an EPG to my digital STB – it’s more their scheduling. It’s just no longer convenient. Who wants to come home and have what they’re watching dictated to them? That’s like.. oppressive and shit.
So, I like to get my shows via other means. Recently I found a little app that makes it easier than ever. It’s called TvShows. It’s really pretty cool – you open it up and it’s got a list of like a kazillion TV Shows. You click on one, hit ‘subscribe’ and it’ll prompt you for the last episode you watched – you tell it and then it does the rest!
As soon as the next episode is seeded it’ll launch your bittorrent client and automagically download it for you. How awesome’s that?
Legalities aside, for such a simple app it sure is one of my favorite things.
So according to the little calendar thingo – I’ve updated five days in a row!
I reckon this must be some sort of new record – I don’t think I’ve updated as frequently since arkspage 1.0 back in like ’98.
Using my new found motiviation I did a bit of maintenance too. Updated to the latest version of WordPress(2.3.1), made another backup, installed some plugins, did some theme hunting. That kind of stuff.
Unfortunately the wrapping problem still exists in this version – so I have to continue to be aware of it. If I just write what I wanna write in TextEdit though, then paste it in it usually formats properly. I also find the WordPress editing window thingo double spaces…
Maybe it’s an Opera thing. I dunno.
Anyway, incase anyone’s actually reading this I’m trying to keep the content coming. I’ve even already started working on content to post tomorrow. I might even get organised enough to have a content-reserve so I can just login and hit ‘publish’ and all my rants I’ve saved in draft format can be automagically published. That’d be cool.
Ooh – I added a new category too – CarCam. This category will be what I tag upcoming posts which contain pics I take while in the car (and I take a few of either interesting cars, Mercs, or annoying vehicle behavior)
Anyway. That’s all for now I think.
