What are your nicknames?
Chrispy to my friends, Frog to my mum. GeekBoy to the girlfriend. Had some others over the years. ChristmasTree was one I remember fondly from around year 8.

What TV gameshow/reality show would you like to be on?
Hmm.
Reality show? New Zealand’s Police 10-7 solely so I could say
“ASSAULT ASSAULT! You touched me officer, sorry.” Hehe. Hope some readers will get the reference

What was the first movie you bought in VHS or DVD?
VHS I dunno. DVD was most likely the Matrix as it was that must-own DVD in the early days of DVD – it had it all, great audio, picture quality and a bucket load of special features.

What is your favourite scent?
Tough one. Burning gum leaves? Bacon cooking? A good whiskey?

If you had one million dollars to spend only on yourself, what would you spend it on?
Cars, cars and more cars.
And hopefully a big empty property not too far away I could whack a big shed on to store them all.

One place you’ve visited, can’t forget and want to go back to?
Ooh I know this one. Weimar. Feels like a Sunday arvo 24 hours a day. Never been to a place as relaxed and chilled out and friendly and awesome. Can’t wait to go back. Wellington would be a clear second.

Do you trust easily?
I guess so. I guess the first time I’m very trusting. Benefit of the doubt and all that. Probably a lot harder to ever get it back if you lose it though

Do you generally think before you act, or act before you think?
I think I’m a fairly measured person and I generally act without too much emotion.

Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Ha! Lets see: My father’s dieing of cancer, the friend he made in the last two weeks died on Saturday night, finances are tight, work is flat out yet kind of stale, I’m putting on weight at an alarming rate, my new house smells kind of funny, I need money to fix my car (see previous comment about financial restrictions) and I’m generally not the calmest most relaxed guy on the planet at the moment.

Do you have a good body image?
No. Over the past five or six years I’ve balooned. I’ve put on about 30 kilos. I’m guesisng most of it is binge eating, absolutely no exercise regime and a shitload of beer. I’d like to get fitter and run and stuff (especially in summer when I’m sweating anyway I find exercise a lot easier) but I’m really shit at running. I don’t think I ever learnt how to breath properly so I’ve never in my life been able to run for very long. More recently I get nasty shin splints just running for a train and I’ve not got a pair of runners. A future post is going to be one of those 101 things in 1001 days things. Buying a pair of runners will be on that list.

What is your favorite fruit?
Changes every year. One of the summer stone fruits – Cherrys or apricots or peaches or nectarines or something like that. Each November or so I decide which will be my favorite for the year and kind of stick to it. If I had to decide today I reckon I’d go with white peaches

What websites do you visit daily?
I’m constantly plugged into an RSS reader so I don’t have to check many websites very often. MacTalk.com.au, twitter.com and reader.google.com. That’d be about it.

What have you been seriously addicted to lately?
Hmm. Procrastinating. That and alcohol I’d guess.

What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
Well I wasn’t tagged, but I think Helen’s a thoroughly decent, intelligent, creative woman. I think she’s fantastic and look forward to drinking a lot with her as soon as possible.

What’s the last song that got stuck in your head?
Cry Little Sister. (The Girlfriend’s watching The Lost Boys in the same room as me)

Favourite clothing
Black T-shirts, geek t-shirts and band t-shirts.

Do you think Rice Krispies are yummy?
I think they’re alright. They’re pretty boring though. A better question here would be Bacon or Cake, which I’ll add below.

What would you do if you saw $100 lying on the ground?
$100 cash? I’d take it. If it were a cheque or a wallet or something somehow traceable I’d try to track the owner down, but considering it’s virtually untracable cash and not of a huge dollar value, I’d pocket it.

Items you couldn’t go without during the day?
iPhone – Internet + iPod in my pocket. I need both

What should you be doing right now?
Aha! I was wondering how I’d answer this when I first copied these questions from Baino’s blog but while I was writing the answer the cash question I had a work phone call so now I have a slightly more interesting answer: I should be logging into work to check the SSH authentication isn’t somehow broken on one of our Solaris boxes.
