A DRUNK man wearing a bin-liner and a cape attacked the founder of a Jedi church while shouting “Darth Vader”, a court has heard.

The court was told that Jedi church founder and Star Wars fan Barney Jones and his cousin Michael were filming themselves playing with light sabres in a backyard before Hughes jumped over a garden wall.

Hughes had consumed more than half of a 10 litre cask of wine before the attack, the court heard.

The court was told Hughes did not remember the attack until he read about it later in a newspaper, and where the crutch had come from was still a mystery to him.

Just 12 hours to go til Macworld now.

Meanwhile, it appears MESSENGER passed Mercury almost 10 hours ago now, so we should also start seeing the best ever photos of Mercury in about 12 hours, too.

Then I spent the rest of the day off work fixing the car up. What an awesome geek day

Wow. What an end of an era.

I’m pretty sure Netscape was the first browser I ever used. Back in those days it was just Netscape and IE really, and IE was a clunky unusable piece of crap.

Wow. I never thought I’d see the day. I really am somewhat amazed this is finally happening.

These days I’m a dedicated Opera user (can’t not have my mouse gestures and speed dial) but Flock is a really good looking Mozilla based browser, especially if you’re a big flickr/twitter/facebook user.

He’s a bit of a freak.

Urgh. I’m starting to really hate the free to air networks.
It’s not bad enough that most of them are too arrogant to even broadcast an EPG to my digital STB – it’s more their scheduling. It’s just no longer convenient. Who wants to come home and have what they’re watching dictated to them? That’s like.. oppressive and shit.

So, I like to get my shows via other means. Recently I found a little app that makes it easier than ever. It’s called TvShows. It’s really pretty cool – you open it up and it’s got a list of like a kazillion TV Shows. You click on one, hit ’subscribe’ and it’ll prompt you for the last episode you watched – you tell it and then it does the rest!

As soon as the next episode is seeded it’ll launch your bittorrent client and automagically download it for you. How awesome’s that?

Legalities aside, for such a simple app it sure is one of my favorite things.
